What a fun weekend at Mammoth! It was our first trip of the season and it was a great one. I have a hard time summing up our weekend with one or two pictures. AND I would have more to post but I didn't take too many. Skyler is the photographer in the family.
While Skyler was out hiking for runs, my group somehow convinced me to go to the top. I was so nervous. It was like being 10 again on my first roller coaster. My stomach had butterflies, but I knew that my instructor (Jill) would not let me go unless she knew I could do it. Later, Skyler told me that after he found out that she took me to the top he said he would have never done that. Jill pushes me, which has helped me be a better snowboarder. Of course Skyler has been the cornerstone in my snowboarding career and I would not even be on the mountain without his help and confidence.

This is at the bottom of my favorite run. It goes right next to the park. Jill and I were doing figure eights by the end of the morning.
This picture doesn't do those Sierras justice. They were beautiful on Sunday. They look unreal. Sometimes I feel like I am in a Truman Show movie and the backdrops I see aren't actually real.
We are planning our next trip already. Can't wait to go back.
