The funniest part of the night happened right after a nurse hooked Skyler up to a heart rate monitor. After a few seconds the monitor starting beeping. We didn't know what it was and the nurse had already left the room. So the doctor returned after about 10 minutes of this monitor beeping and immediately asked what was beeping. He walked over to the machine and said that the beeping sound was an alarm. Skyler's low heart rate was setting off the alarm. Usually that is a bad thing, but after confirming with the doctor, it means that Skyler's heart is healthier than most. The doctor explained that athletes, especially runners, have low heart rates. I am so proud of my mostly healthy husband.
I say that Skyler is mostly healthy because he is still having the same symptoms and problems. I am worried because it is the seventh day of this and he isn't showing any signs of getting better. Plus he is not keeping any food or drink in him. We are baffled at what the problem could be. If he's not recovering by tomorrow, then it is back to urgent care.

I hope he is feeling better soon!
We hope that you feel better Skyler. That is so scary. But not a shocker that he is so healthy and athletic.
Elise! I stumbled across your blog the other day and my husband loves that you do triathlons. I hope you don't mind I added a link to your blog on our blog so he can keep up to date with your activites. I hope your husband feels better!
My mom was sicker than sick with the same thing all of last week. It lasted about 5 days. It must be making it's rounds through Orange County!
I think he is just faking it. Come on Skyler, it's getting old. Fess up, you're just sick of having to do Triathalons.
Get "well" soon. :)
