Old Wives Tale Unveiled in St. Lucia

Second stop - St. Lucia! We took a taxi away from the tourists and found our own special beach. It is the beach used to film Dr. Doolittle, and boy, do they let you know that.

We never left the ship without our swim goggles. We don't have snorkel gear, but our goggles seemed to work just as well.

Diego got to experience a new toy. Here he is soaking up the sun. He takes after his mom!

This guy brought us an afternoon snack (for a price of course). How awesome is it to see a guy paddling around with bananas on his paddle board.

Here is the main event: Minutes after my dad warned us not to step on any sea urchin, he informed us that he had done so. We knew that being stung by a sea urchin was bad, but what exactly would happen? We panicked a little bit and then swam in to figure out what to do. (Side note: Eric bashed his foot on a rock)

Of course we had heard that peeing on a sea urchin sting is supposed to help it. But was it actually true? I had seen them do it on Survivor so it must be true! Skyler took charge and decided to take the honors of "helping my dad out."

Daniel wanted in on the action too, plus we wanted to make sure it worked! While walking back to the beach we came across a women who used to be a medic in the US Army. She surprised us all by saying that pee actually does help a sea urchin sting. Besides that, there wasn't anything else to do. My dad was feeling better by night. Skyler and Daniel saved the day!

Before we left St. Lucia, Skyler wanted to show me his sailing skills. Since I didn't know he had any skills, I was a little nervous. We rented a Hobie Cat (love the name) and took off.
Skyler showed me once again that he does know everything!
Where to next? Antigua!
