Watch Out, Skyler!

Since my parents are in the process of moving, I have come into possession of several boxes which contain the symbols of my life as a teenager. The boxes contain photo albums, ceramic projects, letters, and awards.  I am not a saver, so a lot of this stuff is going straight into our dumpster. But it was fun to look through the photos and read the notes from high school. I was sure boy crazy! Anyways, found this note from a guy that had a crush on me.

I gave you my heart and everything I could, but I was always second best. I thought I could settle for second best, and just wait and hope. But I have realized that all my hoping and waiting has been in vain: someone so wonderful as you would never want someone like me. I have tried and tried to convince myself and you that this is not true, but to no avail. I'm tired of waiting, wondering and hurting. I'm sorry for the inconveinance I've cause you. I can just hope that maybe someday that you will realize that even though I am not the best looking or the buffest, there was not anyone else who cared and loved you as much as I have. Please forgive me.

What a catch! Let's see...how can I win this girl's heart?... admit all of my faults and sound super whiny. High school was such drama! The funny thing is that he wrote these kinds of notes to half of the girls at school. He was just waiting for one of them to give in. (BTW, he is a total jerk now and will never be forgiven for dissing my BFF Tristan!)

But if I ever have doubts about Skyler, I know that there is a guy that loves me more than anyone...the only problem is that he is not the best looking or the buffest.
