I recently came across a journal that my mom started for me when I was born. It was so much fun to read about me during times that I don't remember. It was so cool to read that my mom would read books to me as a baby. She said she hoped that I would grow to love reading. Anyone who knows me knows how much I absolutely LOVE to read. My mom picked up on my personality when I was just a baby and recorded this moment. Thank you Mom!
I used to love scrapbooking! It was fun to cut out pictures in weird shapes, add caption stickers, and use all of my Crayola markers. But do you know how time consuming that is? I haven't scrapbooked one page since I met Skyler.
I blog, but when we have kids, I want to do something more than blogging. My friend Carrie created this awesome book called "This is Me: a kid's first keepsake journal." It's way more than just a journal for kids. You'll love it! Check out her website for a description about "This is Me". I plan on buying some to give as gifts for baby showers. Let me know what you think.
You can also check out this article from the Mom Blog on the OC Register's website. Notice the picture at the bottom? That's me on the right!

Very cool. I didn't know how crafty Carrie is. Some people have it all!
I love writing in my journal. It is so weird to read things you KNOW happened because you wrote it, but have no memory. It is like another life or person claiming to be you!
Well, that is one thing you got from me-we love to read! I love Carrie's journal.
Thanks for the journal "shout out" Elise!
