Never too old for a "first"

I can't believe it has been a whole week since I posted! I am losing my touch.

The past couple of days have been all family. Two of Skyler's brothers came into town this past weekend for a family event. His brother, Jeff was actually our first house guest. So Saturday and Sunday were pretty much consumed by all of Skyler's family. His mom even stayed the night on Sunday night.

Last night was probably my favorite family gathering of the week. We went to K1 Speed in Anaheim. Those cars go so fast! It was a lot of fun. Skyler and his brothers are pretty competitive, especially when it comes to stuff like that. I am excited to try it again against someone with similar skills as myself.

Skyler finished putting in the surround sound at our house. It sounds great. Actually, it is so loud and strong that I can feel it. Can't wait to watch a movie with it!

Today is my last day of the work week. Skyler's job is sending him to Las Vegas for a trade show, so I decided to take the rest of the week off and go with him. His work is paying for the travel, hotel, and food so we are pretty much getting a free vacation. I am going to explore Las Vegas because I haven't done that much. Hard to believe, but I have never stay in a hotel in Las Vegas hotel before. This is also the perfect excuse for us to visit Mike and Jessett and see their new baby, too. We are leaving in the morning.

I almost forgot, my foot is healing nicely. I was able to run for the first time in almost 3 weeks. Hooray! Now I can officially start my triathlon training!
