Wet Turkey Trot

Do you know how hard it was for me to watch a 10K Thursday? I am really frustrated with my leg, but happy to at least be on my way to recovery. On Thanksgiving morning, Skyler raced in a 10K in Dana Point. The morning started out a little drizzly. About 30 seconds after the race began, it started pouring rain. And it stayed that way for the next hour. Talk about a fun race!

It was hard for me to take pictures because I had to protect the camera from getting wet. I am not complaining though...I love the rain! Here is Skyler at the half way point.
This was my friend Carrie's first 10K. What a fun memory...running in the rain! But despite the rain, I think she is addicted. She's ready for her next race.

The 5K runners weren't so lucky. It finally stopped pouring before their race started and the sun actually came out. It was probably a pretty boring race for them.

Our friend Donny also raced. Unfortunately I didn't get any pictures of him in action. Next year I will be racing along side of everyone else. Can't wait until I can race again!

So did we ever figure out what the real problem with your leg is? ANd if so is there a solution that will make it get better?

Yes, I have a lazy arch so it collapses and pulls on my shin. I have been going to a physical therapist for the past two months. After weeks of stretching I am finally able to run again...but only for 10 minutes a day. Eventually I will be able to run normal again.
