Lesson Learned: How to Celebrate St. Patrick's Day

St. Patrick's Day is a nothing holiday to me. All it means is that I have to wear green....until yesterday. I was fully immersed in St. Patty's Day celebration last night, all thanks to Dave having a little Irish in him.

Dave spent the day slaving over corn beef and cabbage. Actually, it's pretty tasty. I don't know what I was expecting it would taste like (well, something bad), but I was completely wrong.

The best part of the night (actually there was a tie) was the green-colored drinks. I've seen green beer before, but I didn't know that leprechauns kissed water too! It was magic.

Now, the ultimate best part of the night was Dave's Irish Car Bomb Cupcakes. It was his first time baking cupcakes and he went all out. Instead of baking something easy, he baked the Ironman of cupcakes. (Check the recipe out on my cupcake blog--pictures to come soon!) I would never have expected that he would be such a great cupcake baker (who knew you could have more than one in a family...Skyler hasn't stopped raving about Tanya's ice cream cake). I make bad assumptions.

Oh, and the milk was green too. Turns out that St. Patrick's Day is all right.
