Last week we did a practice bike/camping trip to O'Neill park. (I'm waiting for pictures from a ceratin person to remain nameless.) We left Friday night and rode our bikes 25 miles to O'Neill park, with all of our stuff on our bikes. That night, we tested out our camping gear and then rode back home the next day.
We leave in the morning and will be getting to Venice on Sunday morning (9 hour time difference). We will pick up our bikes and stay in Venice for one night. On the road the next day. Four or five days of riding until Florence. One or two nights there. Five or six days of riding to Rome. We will turn in our bikes and enjoy Rome for five days. On Sunday, May 31 we will get to watch the final stage of the Giro de Italia. I am planning on meeting Lance Armstrong. Monday will be a sad day, as we begin our trip home. We will return Monday night.
I will try to post updates when I get a chance to use a computer. Ciao (that means hello and good-bye in Italian and is the extent of my Italian)!

i'm so happy for you guys. live it up and eat gelatto like it was your last days on earth.
I wish I had a chance to talk with you before you left, one thing that made our trip more enjoyable was that we had reservations to the museums (the lines can be pretty long). I hope you have a great and safe trip.
