Skyler and I leave for San Francisco tomorrow night and will be there until Monday morning. This isn't our first visit to San Francisco. We visited for the first time 2-1/2 years ago. We had a blast doing everything a normal tourist would do. This time, Skyler will be attending a work conference and I will be scouting out cupcake shops. The best part will be our host Bek. This is a guarantee of memories that we will talk about for the rest of our lives. Can't wait!
P.S. Please leave a comment of your favorite restaurants or cupcake shops. Thanks!
(Although I'm super excited, I'm also a little bummed that we won't be able to attend opening weekend for Mammoth. Yes, it opens THIS weekend. Can you believe it? Winter is here!)

I miss living in the SF bay area. If only Ben could have been a Berkeley student forever…our favorite place to eat in the city was Burma Super Star (Burmese food, best to eat with a big group family style). Also, you probably already know this but the House of Nan King has great food. I don’t know of any cupcakes places in SF that I can recommend, I was more of a bagel girl when I was living there. I hope you have a lot of fun!
Have so much fun! And go to Alcatraz for Daniel and I (if you haven't been). Then you must read Al Capone Does My Shirts, a super great kids novel that takes place on Alcatraz!
hey! i loved seeing you guys. it wasn't enough. really. my favorite was getting to have an entire elise day to myself. has it been a whole 5 years and this is the first time we've had a girl bonding day? that can't happen again.
