I admit it. I am a lucky person. I am blessed to have a wonderful family. Lucky for me, my grandpa has always been a big part of my life. He lived close by, so I got to spend a lot of time with him.
A few months ago I shared that my grandpa was diagnosed with Non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma. Since he received that diagnosis, his health deteriorated very quickly. Unfortunately it was my grandpa's time to go and he passed away last Thursday. Of course, I know he is in a better place and has probably been reunited with his wife who passed away nearly 24 years ago, but I am saddened by his passing and will miss him a lot. Thank you Grandpa, we love you!
For those interested, his funeral services will be held on Wednesday in Yorba Linda. You can contact me for more information.

Sorry about your loss Elise. I'm glad you had such a good perspective on his passing. The Gospel really helps in that regard.
Sorry you had to go through this. I know its hard to lose grandparents. I lost two last year. It's comforting to understand the plan of salvation at times like this.
sorry to hear it. Funerals are never much fun. I've told my family that if I die before them to have hershey's kisses on the pews at the funeral. Chocolate helps almost any situation. In fact since you are very healthy, I will eat the chocolate for you. Again hope you are doing ok.
I'll be sure to eat some chocolate for you too, Elise. I'm glad you have such a solid support system within your family. I'm sad for your loss, and hope peace fills you up completely, very soon. I'm gonna go hug my grandpa.
He will be missed! Wendy hug your grandpa for me too!
