Over The Hump - Week 11

Last Tuesday was possibly the hottest day of the year. I don't know why summer took so long to get here and why it left after only a few days. Anyways, so it was the hottest day of the year and week #11 of Over The Hump. I debated not racing because of the heat, but decided that it would be a great training workout.

Most of the usual women were there (except for Tran), so there was good competition. But that night I ended up just racing with a smile on my face. I already knew I was keeping the leader's jersey, so I just enjoyed the race. I pushed hard on the hills and made jokes with other racers on the singletracks. I ended up in 4th for the night and was happy with that.

Tonight is the last night of racing for the series. Skyler will finally be able to race again. There will also be an awards ceremony after the race. Looking forward to hanging out with my favorite mountain bike buddies.
