I shouldn't have doubted him. Despite changing to a job with a longer commute and traveling a lot for work, Skyler has devoted every free moment to training. He has sacrificed sleep to attend two swimming sessions starting at 5:45am several days a week. His Saturdays are now devoted to 6+ hour bike rides. He's gone through running shoes faster than anyone I know. Pumpkin has muscles of steel from running with him so much. Instead of sightseeing on business trips, he scouts out the local club or swimming pool to squeeze in extra training.
I'm so proud of Skyler for dedicating himself to such an inspiring goal. I can't wait to watch him race next month. The only thing I'm worried about is that I'll be too inspired by him and want to do it myself.
