Christmas and New Year's worked out perfectly this year. Skyler had the whole week off between the two holidays and I only had to take off one day. We took advantage of our time off and headed up to Mammoth for some great snow. It had been snowing nonstop in December, so we got super lucky with the weather.
We snowboarded three days while we were there and each day got better. Lots of powder, but super cold. I didn't mind because I was having a great time! The second day we actually snowboarded at June Mountain. We got there before the mountain even opened and I was the first one to the top of the mountain. The boys were off getting powder down the face, so I had the day to myself. All day I kept wishing Jill would magically show up. Next time.
Sadly, my camera didn't seem to like the cold, so I don't really have any photos from our wonderful week except for these two beauties.
We drove home on New Year's Eve so that we could get Pumpkin out of the kennel before the weekend. It was also nice to get home and have a few days to recover before heading back to work. New Year's Eve confirmed that we are super boring. We had dinner at Stonefire and were asleep by 10:00. I guess that's what happens after a week of snowboarding and driving. I can't remember what we did New Year's Day, but I'm sure it was super fun.

It's ok.. Minh and I are also super boring... we had dinner with a friend and watched Rosemary's Baby.. didn't even realize it was new year's until a few minutes after.
I cleaned my house until 11:58 then we watched the ball drop and went to bed.
Bummer about no pics due to frozen camera. I remember that used to happen to me on cold days as a missionary.
How much snow is up at Mammoth now? They were reporting the snowfall here about your snow there. Sounded epic.
It looks like Skyler is driving and sleeping in that picture! Tell him to "Don't drive and sleep!!
