There's no doubting that I'm pregnant when you see me. Sometimes I'm surprised when a stranger will say something, but then I remember that I'm as big as a house, well at least half of a house. I still have 16 weeks to go!
Still have acid reflux real bad. I hate needing to take an extra pill every day in addition to my prenatals. I've never been big on taking medication. My weight is evening out, which is nice. I've hovered around the same weight for about three weeks despite getting bigger.
A few weekends ago we went beach camping. I'm a little embarrassed to be admitting this but...the girls sat on the beach for about 5 hours while the kids played. I stayed planted in my beach chair since Pumpkin laid down next to me the whole time. By the end of the day I looked down at my feet and noticed that my ankles were missing. My feet were swollen and I had cankles! I guess that's what happens when you're pregnant, hot, and don't move all day. Skyler didn't even want me to tell anyone about it. Luckily I was back to normal by the next day or else I wouldn't be writing about it.
Skyler and I ventured into Babies R Us to register. Talk about overwhelming! They give you a list of 200 items to register for. I already knew that I didn't need most of it, but we were clueless about what we did need. By the end of the night I think we had picked maybe 50 items, most of them being cups, spoons, bottles, and pacifiers. The items that we've researched the most are strollers. Both are not available at Babies R Us or Target. Since I'm planning on staying active after baby boy comes, I want to invest in a nice jogging stroller / bike trailer. Too bad REI doesn't have a baby registry.
My mom took me baby clothes shopping last night and that's when I started to feel like this is real. He is going to look so adorable in the clothes we got. I can't wait to see this little baby!

I think the stroller is your best investment. Don't go halves. Spend some time with a nephew or niece or both in the stroller running with it. I would recommend a stroller that is locking and then swivels depending on if you are using it for running/walking. I also would recommend looking at one that converts to a trailer since you like to bike so much in addition to running. They are very expensive but if you scrimp on this you will have to take turns exercising because you don't want to push the kid who is too heavy in the cheapo stroller. I think that you could ask for REI cards or have the person throwing you a shower ask for cash for the stroller as lots of people do that. A place you can cut costs is buying a high chair that hooks to a chair instead of a big more expensive high chair. It saves space and works just fine even for a small baby.
