I know they don't look old enough to be grandparents, but they are. As I've recently become a parent, I've been thinking a lot about what it takes to be one. I'm pretty sure I will be a great mom because I have great examples to look up to. Somehow in this scary messed-up world my brothers, sisters, and I have turned out ok. I think it's 99% due to having amazing parents. I am so thankful that I was raised in a loving home where I was taught right from wrong. I'm also thankful I have parents who love each other. I tell Desmond that he's lucky to have that too. In my four months experience, I have learned that being a parent isn't easy and from what I hear it doesn't get easier, but I know I will do ok because of my parent's examples. So thank you Mom and Dad. I love you!

Elise, having wonderful children makes parenting a lot easier. Thanks for this special tribute, it made my day!!!! Desmond is already on the path to being a great young man because of his wonderful parents.
