So Much Fun Stuff

Friday night we went to a Halloween party at Wendy and Neal's house. It was a lot of fun. Good food, scary haunted garage, and karaoke entertainment. We also got to wear our costumes for the second time this month. Skyler has kept his moustache since he first shaved it on October 20. Tomorrow is the last day for it...thank goodness! I love him without it a little bit more than with it. Anyways, the party....there was a contest called Halloween Idol. Skyler loves karaoke so he entered the contest. After three rounds of competition Skyler pulled another karaoke win. I was so proud of him especially since we were at a party where most of the other people didn't know us. Skyler just has that special charisma!

Other exciting news: One of my lifelong friends, EmmaJane Goodman Deaver, had her baby on Sunday, October 28. She wasn't due until November 16, but her baby was ready to come. Are you ready for the name of her baby? ElvisAnn Deaver. Wow! I didn't know Emma was so gutsy, but I guess it is not too much of a surprise.
I thought this was the most appropriate picture. My favorite one is a picture of Emma during delivery. It looks like she is pushing (no gross stuff showing) and she has this look of pain and fear in her face. And then on her left is Scott (her husband) and he is smiling and has a look of joy. Congratulations EmmaJane, Scott, and ElvisAnn. We love you all!

And for the last bit of exciting news: We signed the contract to buy our place! Saturday we gave my family the tour of the models and of our actual loft. Then we spent the next two hours signing and initialing a million pieces of paper. It was all really scary but exciting. After signing out lives away, we went shopping and picked up a new couch and chair. We got great deals on both! So we got to move out our old gray leather couch and move in our new furniture. It inspired us to spend the next day cleaning up our apartment. Two more months in our apartment! Yeah!
