Halloween

I always enjoyed this holiday as a kid. I dressed up all the way through high school. But now there isn't too much to do on Halloween. We did attend three parties, which were a lot of fun. But on the night of Halloween we didn't have anything to do. Kids don't trick-or-treat at our apartment because it is gated and there are no kids nearby. So we decided to "treat" ourselves and go to Benihana for dinner. And not just the sushi bar, we went all out. Right now Benihana is advertising a special that 4 people eat for the price of 3. So we called up Kenny and Jill and the four of us enjoyed a large, delicious dinner. I love the salad and fried rice that they serve there. Usually that is all that I order.

Skyler has been working a lot of long hours lately. I don't know how he survives on such a little amount of sleep. I think he actually thrives on it. Yesterday his company had their Halloween extravaganza. I am jealous because they go all out for holidays. They have competitions, food, and fun stuff all day. Skyler's floor's theme was "Snakes on a Plane." One guy even dressed up as Samuel L. Jackson. Side question, why must he use his middle initial? Would he not be as famous as Samuel Jackson? Interesting thought.

My work Halloween party consisted of one client coming in with her dog dressed up as a bumblebee. So yeah, no party at my work. Boring! I guess I could have dressed up but I had to visit another client and I would have just looked silly.

Now that Halloween is over, the focus can switch full-time to Christmas. I always love this time of year. I love the cold weather, the secret gifts, and family get-togethers.
