Happy Birthday Eric

I dedicated a post to my brother Eric a few weeks ago, but today is his birthday and I wanted to recognize him again. Today Eric turned the big 21! His mission president let him call home today, so my parents got to talk to him for a few minutes this morning. Eric is a great brother! We have had a lot of fun together. This picture is from our last trip to Maui, right before Skyler and I got married (over 2-1/2 years ago). At the time, it was very typical of Eric to be seen without a shirt on. We liked to give him a hard time about that! Happy Birthday Eric! See you in 2-1/2 months!

On a different note, I was in my doctor's office on Tuesday and the nurse noticed that I hadn't gotten a tetanus shot since 1993, so he recommended that I get one that day. I figured it was no big deal, but I was wrong. Maybe I am a huge baby, but I thought I was pretty good at tolerating pain. Of course my left shoulder is completely useless because that's where the shot went. But the next morning I woke up and I couldn't raise my arm even a little bit. Ok, no big deal, I could deal with that. This morning I woke up and my whole body yelled, "Don't move!" What's wrong with me? I am sure I will be fine by tomorrow, but this better be worth not getting lockjaw.

Just so you know the Tetanus is always painful so you are not a huge baby.
