Tres de Mayo Party
Last night we hosted our first party. It was a last minute thing to celebrate Rebekah being in town. We called it a Cinco de Mayo party but there wasn't too many Mexican things going on. Mike was the only one who dressed up.
It started off with a game of Balderdash. I was so excited to discover that Ashlyn is also a serious game player (a term that I coined for myself). Surprisingly we were able to keep a consistent game going for quite a while. It is usually hard to play games with such a large group.
Of course the night progressed into Magio. We had a few Magio first-timers in the group. Magio always seems to bring out the best in people. Luckily, we don't have any neighbors on either side of us yet because it got so loud. But after everyone left I found the back sliding door open, so the sound of "wonderful" singing voices was probably heard by everyone until 1 in the morning!
I am proud of my husband and of course I would want to brag about him, but I truly think he is the best karaoke singer ever!
This was the first time Kenny has done Magio. Luckily Jill had a jacket with a collar on so she could hide her embarassment.
Yes, there was some old-school dancing!
This was a pre-test for our house-warming party which we will be having on May 17. Hopefully we will be getting the invites for that out this week. We are almost done with most of our projects. Six days left until our St. George Triathlon and we are both so excited!

You could feel that someone was missing from the middle-school-friends group. Erin, we missed you (and Adam also)! You will be happy to know that Skyler and I lit the domination candle to win at Balderdash...and guess what?...it worked!
