I think I look forward to going to Lake Mead the most out of anything that we do all year! I daydream about it at work, I have the weather for Overton, NV on my homepage, and I plan our trips months in advance. This weekend we finally made it there for our first trip of the season! It was everything I had hoped for, and more! It ended up being mostly a family trip, with our fabulous friends Kenny and Jill coming along too. Skyler and I are the only ones in his family that don't have kids yet, so that makes us the cool aunt and uncle. Well, we met our "cool" match this weekend. Our nieces and nephews loved Kenny and Jill. They wanted to sit next to them all the time, they wanted to ride in their car, they wanted to do what they did, and they behaved better. My niece Alex even told her mom that she has a crush on Kenny. It was so cute! We enjoyed having them there to balance out nieces and nephews time with us.
We took a ton of pictures of our fun, but getting home super late prevented me from uploading them. We were fortunate to not hit any traffic on the way to Vegas, but last night it took forever to get home. I was expecting to get home with enough time to go see my new nephew Diego who flew down yesterday with his mom (my sister). Since we got home around 1:00am I begrudgingly decided that today would be the better day to see him. Work couldn't be going by any slower for me (that's why I will hopefully be leaving early)!
