This was the campground we stayed at. It was right next door to a sports park. It's funny to me that these campgrounds are tucked in the middle of cities. It's not like that here in the US.
Before our trip, I said my worst fear was getting to a campground when it was dark. Even though that happened after our first day of biking, it wasn't so bad. Skyler and I were becoming faster at setting up our campsite.
The trend seems to be that when you retire in Europe, you buy an RV and travel around. During the day, you must lay out in the least amount of clothes as possible. I guess European men are more comfortable with their bodies than US men.
...and German men wear big underwear.
Here is an unusual sight. Skyler is doing laundry. I had to document this momentous occasion.
Lunch at the mall. Skyler made sure that we had pictures of every meal we ate.
The main part of Ferrara has a city wall surrounding it. In the middle was a really cool-looking castle with a real moat around it.
I think this was the largest collection of bikes we saw on our trip. It was in front of the train station.
Everyone rides bikes there! There is even a smaller lane on the right of the roads just for bikes and small cars. Bikes seem to have the right of way. Pedestrians even make way for bikes. I felt very safe around cars there (unlike here where I am terrified of cars because they try to run me off the road).

you guys are amazing people. I love all the pictures especially the bikes, I found a 1979 raleigh in a dumpster that I am fixing up. I wish the streets were as friendly here, it's ridiculous trying to get around town.
What a great adventure! You and Skyler are awesome. I can't wait for day 6.
So much fun. I love the old man and all the underwear hanging up.
Cant wait to see more.....
I am not really into bathroom humor, but that pic of the large underware on the line made me laugh pretty good.
I am so glad you guys did this and that you are posting this for me to read. Steve and I are enjoying your posts immensely, especially since TV is in re-runs now. Not much to look forward to in the way of entertainmennt, so thanks, it's a highlight.
