The ride to Bologna was pretty uneventful. Fortunately, the distance was a lot shorter than our first day (about 75km).
We arrived in Bologna around 3:30pm, which left us plenty of time for exploring. Except for the fact that we didn't know where the campground was. The previous time we just spotted a sign directing us where to go. The problem in Bologna was that the sign was pointing us onto the autostrada (freeway). I was pretty sure that bikes weren't allowed on the freeway. We spent the next two hours asking people where the campground was. No one seemed to know. Then, Skyler stumbled into a gay bar where they kindly pointed him in the right direction. We found the campground!
After checking in I found out there was a pool! I also found out that it was under construction. Let me remind you that Italy was having a heat wave so it was near 100 degrees during the day.
After setting up our campsite we walked to the closest restaurant for dinner, which turned out to be a country club. The funny part is that we arrived at 7:00, which is way too early for dinner in Italy. Most restaurants are just barely opening for dinner at 7:00. We were two of the four people eating dinner there. At least we received good service.

your pictures are so awesome! Is it ok if I pretend it is me in all of your pictures? I wish it was me! How amazing!
Hey! It's Krystal. I hope you don't mind that I came to check out your blog. I saw that you had given the website to Nicole on facebook and I was very excited to see that you blog too!
I am in awe of your trip. I cannot even imagine how amazing that would be to go do something like that! I was so happy to read that everything got better and your luggage was found. How stressful!!!
I can't wait to read about your other days there. You guys have some awesome pictures. I love my kids more than anything, but I really wish that Derek and I would have gone and done more adventurous things like that. I guess I will just have to live vicariously through you! :)
P.S. You don't even look like you are camping in ANY of the pictures! It looks like you just walked right out of a salon! How is that possible?!
By the way, I added you as a friend on my blog so I can keep reading. Hope you don't mind! :)
