Proud Sister

I have several things to write about for this past weekend, but I don't like to post without pictures if I have some, so the weekend news will be at a later date.
This is my younger brother Eric (on the right)! Today I want to express my feelings of happiness and pride for my brother Eric. Eric has been serving a full-time mission for our church in the Bulgaria Sofia mission. He has learned how to speak, read, and write Bulgarian, which is from the same language family as Russian. In the above picture, he is teaching an English class to Bulgarians. I love the sentences on the board in the back--"I'm cooking in my kitchen pants. Then I will eat some cheese." He has been gone for 16 months already! That means he will be home in 8 months. I can't wait!
This is from a baptism at the beginning of the year. Baptisms are sparse in Bulgaria because people are still learning about their freedoms from Communism and are hesitant to try something new.

Eric is on the right. Very Nacho Libre-ish. Can't tell if the guys in the middle are already nerdy though.
This is Eric's district.
Just received this picture from Eric today. Not sure who the girl is.
I am so proud of my brother for devoting two years of his life to serving the Bulgarian people. Eric is a perfectionist so being in a country where the church is growing very slow is hard for him, but I have seen him grow over the past 1-1/2 years. He loves the people. He is happy to be spreading the gospel to them. I commend him for his hard work and his dedication and I look forward to his return next spring!

He seems like quite the missionary. I'd be proud too :) I tell you what, there's definitely a lack of dedicated missionaries out there these days, so when I come across the ones that still give it their all, it's really something. :) Sooo....any word on the loft??? I'm dying here.
