The curse has been broken!

Skyler and I are sports fans, but we don't go to too many sporting events. If we get an offer though, we will jump at a chance to go to a game. The problem is that every game we have gone to, since we have been together, our home team always loses. Doesn't matter the sport (baseball, hockey, softball) or the team (Angels, Dodgers, Ducks). A few weeks ago we were invited to go to a Ducks game by our friends Dave and Tanya. We had great box seats. It was a fun experience, it being my first Ducks game, but our curse continued and the Ducks lost. It was actually a pretty uneventful game. I think 0-1 and maybe one fight.

Well, last night our luck changed. Even though it was only my second Ducks game, it was the most exciting game ever! The Ducks started out great, scoring 2 goals within one minute of each other in the first period. There were a bunch of great fights...it was like following a soap opera! The game went into overtime with a score of 3-3 and eventually there was a shootout. I thought that only happened in movies. The Ducks claimed the win and our curse was broken!

So I am super bummed out because I have two tickets to be in the audience of a taping of a BBC special that will be aired in England. And the special features the SPICE GIRLS! I have always loved the Spice Girls and last night the thought came into my head that if I were to go I might have a chance of seeing David Beckham. Ok, the bummed out part is that I can't find anyone to go with me. It is being filmed Friday morning at 9:00am in West Hollywood. Who doesn't like the Spice Girls? I guess no one cares enough.

That was a great game. You just have to go with your lucky friends.
