This weekend consisted of a bunch of random events. Well, Friday night was pretty normal. Skyler jammed at Rick's house, which left a whole night free for me. I spent two hours at the gym! The holidays seems to reduce the amount of time I spend at the gym, so I am trying to make use of all of my free time wisely.
Saturday morning required an early wake-up. I don't like those, but we need the extra money (new house!). We congregated a group of friends at the VClad office in Orange for work. Skyler and I run a small side business making sample booklets to sell to his dad's company's customers. It requires time outside of our regular jobs. It is pretty easy work, but very tedious. It is not too bad because we get a bunch of friends together, eat lunch, hang out....and do a little work in between.
Saturday night we went to dinner with Mike and Jessett Alleman. They moved to Las Vegas about four months ago so we really miss hanging out with them. Fortunately, both of their families live in Yorba Linda so they drive down here a lot. I really wish I had taken a picture that night. Their little girl Kylie is so adorable and she is getting big enough to remember who I am. We ate dinner at this place called Stonefire Grill. It has the best tri-tip ever...yes, even better than Wood Ranch. And the best part is that Stonefire is really cheap. We always get the family meal which consists of a whole tri-tip, salad for a ton of people (it is giant!), and a bunch of breadsticks....all for $30. We love going there!
Last night Skyler was in a weird, happy mood and we ended up at IHOP for dinner. I mentioned before that Skyler doesn't like to eat at IHOP, but he really wanted to go there last night. They have a new pancake special. I got the NY cheesecake pancakes. They were amazing!
13 days until my birthday!
