An Icon Preserved!

Harrison Ford has been my favorite actor ever since I could remember. He has played an extremely handsome "good guy" (with few exceptions) in his movies, so maybe that is part of the reason for my crush. Whether as Indian Jones, Jack Ryan, Han Solo, the Fugitive, or the President of the United States, he has maintained his good looks throughout the decades. I hope I can age as well as him.

THEN:

NOW:

He is turning 66 this year! I know plenty of people in their sixties and they don't look nearly as good. Actually, not even close, I would say they look old. I would not classify Harrison Ford as old. While researching his age I came across his birthday, July 13th....same birthday as my husband! Imagine that! (Actually I am surprised I didn't know that before!) Actor, hero, icon.

P.S. I loved the new movie! It wasn't about the aliens, it was about the nostalgia of Indiana Jones--being a kid and loving those movies! I applauded in the theater.

So to continue with Kevin & Bean's debate this morning, which would win in a fight: Han Solo or Indiana Jones?

We'd love to discuss the movie with you guys...and it sounds like we might disagree on a few things but it will be fun.

I haven't read your blog in a while... it was so nice to see everything that you guys have been up to! I can't believe all the triathalons, cupcake goodness, and crazy stomach sickness... wow! I hope you're feeling better now.

I liked the movie too, but I thought George Lucas should have kept his fingers out of this one. Oh well. Now Ironman... that's an AWESOME film!!!
