I just thought of something. It's always bothered me when a new movie becomes the highest-grossing movie of all time. Of course the movie will be higher-grossing than Star Wars or Indiana Jones because those movies came out almost 30 years ago when movies were like $1.00. So I've always thought that they should convert the older movie sales into today's dollars for comparison. But I just had an epiphany. Why don't they do comparisons in number of tickets sold instead of dollars? That makes more sense to me. Is there anything wrong with my logic? There has to be a reason that they don't do this.

It's all about the money!!!
That is great logic, but it won't happen. The reason of course is so the record could be broken every couple years.
