Bye-bye Christmas

Like I mentioned last week, our Christmas tree had a good life and was now a fire hazard. I worried about our tree bursting into flames while we were in Utah two weeks ago. When we got back, I decided that the tree needed to go quickly, but we didn't have the time to do anything about it until last Saturday.

Since our tree was located on the second story of our house, Skyler decided that instead of dragging the tree around the house, down the stairs, and out the front door (therefore spreading pine needles throughout the entire house), he would push the tree out of the window.

It worked.

Now we have a pine needle lawn.

Very clever! Clean ing up pine needles is the worst!
I am in Long Beach and I would love to get together again too! What is your schedule like?

Don't forget...
you had a pine needle filled toilet too.

Now that's a great idea!

That reminds me of the time I didn't want to take the tree out so I stuffed it in the fire place and turned in on. My result, unlike your, was bad.

Was he doing that with no shirt? wasn't that sort of...painful? I imagine it would be painful. Explain.

I loved this post. I especially loved your dad's comment, and the images that played in my mind as I read it.
