The next morning I leaned my head off our bed to look at something on the ground. All of the blood rushed to my head and it kinda hurt. I didn't associate it with the fall.
All weekend long, whenever I lowered my head below my heart, I would get this tight pressure on both sides of my head, near my temples. I didn't worry about it until yesterday.
Yesterday I started to research what the cause of the pain could be and came across a news article about Natasha Richardson's death last year. It kinda freaked me out. I debated on whether to see a doctor or not. I figured that I would just be told it was nothing. But I also read that head trauma is not something that you push aside.
I decided to go to urgent care, just to be safe. I was lucky enough to go at the end of the day, right before they closed. No wait. From the time I left home until the time I got home, it only took an hour. And you know what, I'm fine. Although it took up an hour of my time and $25, I have peace of mind that I am ok.

I think it's wise to go get things like that checked out. My mother-in-law knew a girl about our age that fell in a shower and hit her head. She thought she was fine but died a few days later. I know that may be the exception, but it's always better to be safe than sorry. :)
Don't scare me! I am glad all is well. :)
Phew!
By the way, you fell off your couch? I mean, if you told me my 4 month old fell off a couch, I'd totally get it, no questions asked.
thanks for driving up the cost of health care elsa, you''re such a worry wart! jk, i'm glad everything's ok! by the way, nurses are THE WORST hypochondriacs ever. seriously. i get so sick of hearing my classmates devise these elaborate diagnoses for what's really wrong with them, they think they're doctors or something... nope, not even nurses yet.
Wendy- Ok, let me explain. I was laying on the couch and a combination of rolling over and getting pushed off (maybe) caused me to fall while my arms were pinned under my body. Therefore, my head hit first.
Kristina- I haven't gone to see a doctor in over a year. I've paid so much money into health care and definitely haven't received my payback yet (which is a good thing for me because it means I'm relatively healthy).
Thank you for going to the MD. Better safe than sorry.
Boy Elise, I didn't even know!! I'm glad you are ok!
Pushed off the couch!?? That doesn't sound like something I would do. This story is kinky.
