You might have wondered why I get so tan during the summer. It's in my blood, I'm 1/4 Mexican. My dad's dad is my Grandpa Salas. He has always been a part of my life. I can remember him being at almost every single important event in my life. He was there for all of my birthdays, graduations, piano recitals, and sports events. My grandpa loves to listen to me play the piano. When I was younger, my Grandpa would ask me to play the piano for him every time he came over. I love to play the piano, but I don't like being the center of attention. But I did it for him anyway.
My grandpa was diagnosed with Non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma at the beginning of this month. His health has declined very severely, very quickly. He started chemo last week, but is currently in the hospital with pneumonia and a low white blood cell count. I love my grandpa so much, so I'm asking you to offer a short prayer in his behalf. The doctors have said that a full recovery is possible, but he needs to improve so he can continue to get his chemo treatments. I have been truly blessed to have a grandpa that is so wonderful!
