Thankfully he's on the way

Rewind to Thanksgiving Day (November 24):

Since we live close to a lot of our family, we got to spend Thanksgiving day with them. First stop was Skyler's brother's house in Rancho Santa Margarita. We had a Thanksgiving brunch filled with German pancakes, maple bacon, and egg casserole. If you know me then you know I love to eat. So of course Thanksgiving is one of my favorite holidays. I was looking forward to it this year because I knew I could eat as much as I wanted without feeling guilty. Unfortunately, since I was so close to the end of my pregnancy, the baby was taking all the room in my belly (what a selfish boy!). No room for much food and no appetite. I ate, but got full quickly. After brunch, we walked over to a nearby park to play games. I was so uncomfortable. I couldn't sit, stand, walk, or do anything without being in pain. I knew the end was near.

We drove back home to take care of Pumpkin and so I could switch clothes. I had tried looking cute by wearing a dress, but I was so uncomfortable that I was back to my sweat pants and tank top (Skyler despised this outfit of mine). We spent the rest of the day at my parent's house in Yorba Linda for Thanksgiving #2. We had the traditional meal, which I was grateful for. Sometimes I just love traditional holiday food: the sweet potatoes with marshmallows, green bean casserole, creamed corn, turkey, rolls. The weird thing was my family's meal was lacking a seriously delicious dessert. I'm not a big pumpkin pie fan. I was craving a sweet apple pie. It probably wouldn't have mattered anyway because my stomach was not allowing me to eat much.

I'm thankful I got to spend time with our families on Thanksgiving because just three days later little Desmond entered our lives.

I don't despise anything you could wear. However those sweatpants were sewn in 1985 and should seriously be retired.
