Good-bye New York City

Our last day in New York City:

Puerto Rican pride parade.

King Kong stopped to pose with us as we waited at the Empire State Building.

After days of attempting to see this view, we finally made it.

Perfect way to end our trip.

If only it were that easy. We grabbed a cab to the airport, but there was crazy traffic, partly due to the Puerto Rican parade. We were cutting it close to catching our flight. I was nervous. We made it with a few minutes to spare, thanks to a great cabbie (he got a great tip for it). Didn't matter thought because the plane was delayed. And then it was delayed again. Then we boarded. Then it was delayed again. So much for booking an earlier flight home. We arrived about 3 hours later than planned. First stop was Del Taco. Happy to be home.
