Fun with Family
Like I mentioned before, we hosted a family gathering for Skyler's dad on Father's Day last Sunday. I always try to get pictures of the family when we have a lot of us together. Skyler is the youngest of five kids and there are a total of 13 grandchildren. The only people missing from this picture are Jeff and Lisa's son Chris (who is serving a mission in Arizona) and Dennis' family (they live in Utah).

Check out the finished brick and the maple window sills. Skyler did such a great job. Everyone who comes over comments on how great the wall looks and is surprised when we tell them that we did it ourselves. I am glad that I have such an ambitious husband.
Friday night we went to the Cheesecake Factory at the Irvine Spectrum. For the first time ever, I skipped out on cheesecake because I had spotted a cupcake bakery on the way to the restaurant. Turns out that my opt out was a bust. I didn't know there was such thing as a bad Red Velvet cupcake, but somehow I found it. I guess it was inevitable because I have been trying so many new cupcakes. (Check out my review on my cupcake blog.)

Hey, I went to school with Skyler's brother Jeff. We had 1 class together, Mr. Allen at what was called back in the day, the Yorba Linda Jr. High. Small world.
